am no longer able to save a complex character to the library. i can only save it as a .pz3 .....i just did a full reinstall and it didn't fix the problem. poser 4, win98 , hope someone can help. kim webster

What do you mean by complex character? Could you give an example of what will save to your library and what won't?

Also, when you reinstalled did you install the lastest patch (4.03)?

an example: if i have a character with a dress, and shoes [3figures] only one figure will be saved to the library. like maybe the right shoe. i did not have this problem before.i no longer get the save whole group screen when i click the + sign to save to library. i only get the name new set screen. am running version 4.03.

As far as I know, I've never been able to do this. The only way I can save multiple figures is if they are conformed to each other. i.e. if you had posette with 2 shoes and dress conformed to her, they would all save to library together. But if one of the shoes wasn't conformed to her, it wouldn't save with the rest of them.

try making sure you have the main figure selected when you send yo the library

Be sure, that all you want in the libary, is conformed (or parented) with the main figure. If you then save a character, you will asked for hole group or single figure. Take the first. That works at me. Harie

I've been doing all of the above from the get go. and i still can only save the selected figure to library. since i can't select all of them i'm screwed! i repete that i don't get the option of saving the whole group, which i used to get every time for the last 6 months! Is there no one else with this problem? before this happened there was one night where there was no + sign on any of the library screens. i couldn,t save anything at all to library. that's why i did a full reinstall.
