I found an odd thing the other day. I was working with a hair figure that had several parts: head, and some braids. What I wanted to do was scale down the head to something very small and just leave the braids. (I could have made the head invisible, but I had reasons for not doing that.) The head of the hair figure had the form of a scalp cap and some bangs at the sides. The bangs were part of the same body part (head) and the same material zone. When I tried to scale the head, the scalp cap scaled, but not the bangs. Didn't matter if I used the main scale or the x,y,z scales. The bangs would not scale. So I thought, "OK, brute force approach - I'll scale it with a magnet". That had no effect either. In the end I got round it by getting rid of the head altogether - but I'm puzzled as to how it can be that an integral bit of a body part can refuse to scale with the rest of it.
