I have noticed that there are a few artists that add in a "tag" or "logo" to their works that they post. I have been thinking about doing this. How would you create your own logo? Would you save it as a .tub and add it into your tubes? This way it is always on hand and you don't have to search for it. I have been playing with just a plain tag with font to add to my images. Maybe you have a tag or logo, how did you create it? Yeah I know, lots of questions... For an example of what I am talking about please see Niutek's postings or dbgrafix's postings, these are the ones I have noted recently, even though it appears that they have been doing it for a long time. I know this is kinda plain jane, but this is just a quickie...

I usually try to chose font for my signature so that it fits the photo in question. I dont have anything pre-made. But i should probably consider doing that since i usually use the same kind of "tag". But since my photos arent always the same size, i find myself often forced to scale my "signature"...and is it not vector-based, like a textlayer is, it will suffer in quality. I suppose I could just create a layer in photoshop and convert it into a free-shape or a brush. Tube? Thats for Paintshop Pro isnt it? Im rambling here arent i? Sigh....oooh...i just have to say one more thing....Niuteks "logo" is pure genious!!!!!!!! Bla bla...

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Oh...sorry...forgot to "comment" on yours Brenda. I like the simplicity of it...but i would suggest you keep the word "Photography" a tad smaller than your name...and perhaps at a lower opacity. Just my 4 swedish kronor. #:O)..... .....couldnt help but play a little. Hope you dont mind....

I make them as a tube in PSP then when you need to add it it is one click. If you do not know how to do tubes let me know I can help. Much better than always creating a new box graphic. They are transparent so you do not see the white rectangle.

I don't think it's a stupid question at all.And I have wondered the same thing, about how it's done. Yes,Niu's and Doug's are great. That's where I first noticed it as well... I don't have PSP...is it possible to do in PS?

I dunno about PS Marlene I have PSP, but I had noticed that from the very little I have worked with PS, it was virtually the same thing just a little harder to navigate for me. I just created a "new" canvas, filled it with the color I preferred. In my case that is going to be either black with white font or white with black font as my 'frames' are always either black or white. Hmmmm maybe I should buttonize it as well? I dunno yet. Andreas I like yours! Will definately take that suggestion and put it to use, thank you! Yes Doug I know how to use tubes, it will take me a bit to remember how to make a tube, because it was a very long time ago that I used PSP for this. That is like the first thing I learned to do, second was animation shop! OK going to go play in PSP now! Thank you all for your answers. Brenda :)
