Below I quoted from a search I made here; anyway, I'm going to buy a new video card; Pci-E (new Mobo already set..)so ..after I paste the specifications of a new card I would like to have. Problem is that I'm not sure which one is better for my use..thanks for a good advise guys. I do need it.I'm in a jungle of produts and lost! Quote from old messages:'In order to use video acceleration, the app needs to repackage its texture, vertex and polygon information in a format friendly for the card (or interface eg. OpenGL) to use. In Poser's case the texture maps are often much bigger than in other apps, and the vertex geometries will typically change on a frame by frame basis, so would need constant recalculation and loading.' I use Poser6, Photoshop CS and Painter 7 mostly... Now: From the specs can you tell me which one will be more appropriated? Prices are 'round the same as 256 MB cards only the 256 Mb have DDR3...maybe more pipeslines...too. Those are the specifications of one: -------------------------------- Model Name GC-RX700(PRO)G2-E3 ASIC RV410 Core Frequency 400MHz Memory Size 512MB Memory Type DDR2 Memory Bus 128-bit Interface PCI Express x 16 D-Sub Yes TV-Out S/HDTV-out DVI Yes Video-In N/A Cooling Fansink + memroy heatsink --------------------- other:RADEON X1600 PRO Specifications RADEON X1600 core 512MB DDR2 / PCI Express x16 / CrossFire Support (PCI-E model only) Microsoft DirectX 9.0c / OpenGL 2.0 acceleration Avivo Technology 3D Graphics Resolution of 2560x1600 Max TV-Out Smoothvision HD + Adaptive AA Vido acceleration of :MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9, VC-1, and H.264 -----------------------------------------------------------
