Even though many of us take lots longer than fifteen minutes to make ourselves presentable in the morning, take fifteen minutes today to make a grooming tool -- comb, brush, q-tip, makeup, whatever. It's all for fun and learning!

I tried posting this earlier, but there was some kind of problem.... I modeled everything in the free-form modeler. The tines on the comb were drawn in outline in the upright back plane, then extruded a very short distance, then bent with a pipeline extrusion method. It was a fun discovery....

ok..heres my attempt. I did the brush base in the spline modeler. I think I need to learn illustrator or something..its very hard to be procise in there! The bristles are just a vertex cone with a small mountain booleened onto it..I just duplicated it a ton after that :) I think I need to buy some shaders... I just dont have a lot of time to mess with that stuff.

Some of us apperantly get ready diffrently tha others. Took somewhere between 15-30 minutes I kept getting interupted at work(the nerve of some bosses). Modelled in the spline room. Shaders = rough bark, Tile, custom black added slight greyt using the spot for mixer and no reflection.

Stacey, That's histerical! I haven't laughed that hard in years.

Very nice.... And Brent, I could send you the hair that's caught in my comb; I'm sure everybody's had at least on incident when somebody put their toothbrush in the same drawer as the hair brush.... Loved Stacey's bit, and CCP, nice angle on the razor. All fun. Glad you discovered wind -- it's cool! Will try to come up with another soon.... - Chip
