Regarding the post titled.. "Free star trek transporter effects texture" http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=2559813 Expanding on Tucan-Tiki's cool idea, heres a freebie Transporter Effects Prop. This will allow you to achive that 60's Sci-fi look in your poser renders and animations. http://www.sparkyworld.co.uk/3d8own.htm Static version for Poser 4/PP and video version for P5/P6. Enjoy.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

I was going to ask how on earth did you create the effect, especially the animated version, but it appears Little_Dragon answered my question before I asked it, Particle Illusion. Sincerely, Bill

Bill - Little_Dragon is indeed correct. Particle Illusion (PI). If you can find a back issue of it, Digit magazine (UK)featured a cut down version (SE) of it.

As a sort of an aside, heres a little trick you can do with this effect. I used video (and a leprecahun puppet) with PI but you can use Poser.

Render your animation once with the effect and your figure. Now render without the figure but keep the effect. Do NOT move the camera.

Now in your video app join the two together with a fade. Getting the Timing right is a real b******. But if you get it right, you can get a neat fading in figure look.

I had shelved this image because I couldn't get the right effect I wanted until this was posted. Thanks again.

Thank you, the older transporter effect would be nice, too.

If it's unavailable at MrSparky, then you can also get it at Vanishing Point.
