hair by koshini (butchered by moir) props by DM's (fantasy realms) aiko body dark mage clothes hope i have left anything out re credits forget the above help i just lumped them all togethr in photoshop and shrunk the images. hope its not to big i tried to make a head using the face program in poser from the two heads (generated in facegen) and all i end up getting is a monsters head that can't be turned ito a morph. i tried loading the head as a wavefront obj but once io got it there i couldn't really do anything with it. in the ened i had to take the finshed render to photoshop, erase aiko's head and work the head i generated in face gen onto a lower layer. i also had to virtually repair the scene around the hair as the hair was about twice the size of the head. i've read a few tuts on using the face prog but i just can't seem to get it right. my hope was that i could generate a head then swap it for a head already being used. is this possible. btw my first attempt at this was a complete abortion..i know this isn't much better and the piece still needs a fair bit of post work but i'm new to poser and 3d in general. billy

Facegen is generally not very compatible with poser. Although the faceroom uses a subset of the facegen technology, it isn't facegen. The DAZ3D figures are not compatible with the faceroom. THere's a long, drawn out, icky story behind that that involves old grievances, a botched licensing attempt, an exorbitant amount of money for rights, and a lot fo people poking and prodding in the process, lol. While I won't say they'll never be compatible, I feel safe saying it isn't likely to happen anytime soon, and most certainly not with the current generation. (all of which is to say, um, aiko's head isn't going to do much in the faceroom or facegen, so you can forget it). On the other hand, I would suggest you return facegen and use the money you spent on your license for it buying the morphs and maps pack for Aiko and some of othe figures out ther (such as those by Thorne and sarsa) and use them in combination to achieve that face, which I suspect can readily be done.

i have the morphs and maps aiko pack and a fair bit of other stuff. (i need someone to padlock my wallet lmao) i just thought i may have been able to generate a head in the face shop using the two pics and then swap heads with aiko. i'm not yet anywhere near proficient enough to change aikos or anyone elses head to the one i want. whats the point of poser having face shop if what you generate can't be used on the models it runs. could a face generated in face shop be used on one of the poser figures? billy :) thanks for the headsup btw

Yes. The Faceroom can be used on Judy, Don, James, and Jesse. It can also be used with Miki and Koji, I believe (maybe not koji). Just not the daz ones. Don't make the assumption that DAZ figures are 100% compatible with poser. THey are not, and never have been. THey are, however, the most popular figures.

thanks ynsaen. i've come to realize that in the short time i've been using it. i had a little success with what i was trying to do. i loaded the head as a wavefront obj. scaled it down to fit the body (v3) shrunk vicky's head and replaced the body part (head) with the object. after closing the program i re-opened it and the new pose i'd saved was there but only gave me a v3 pose. i did however save what i'd done as a pz3 file and when i opened it everything was there. i just had to replace the head with the obj again. it works on most of the poses. a couple leave gaps but its better than nothing lol. all i need now is the know how to texture the skin on the head so it matches. i think the problem with the gaps is that face gen doesn't have a movable kneck. once again thank for the feedback billy
