patient adj. 1.Bearing or enduring pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance with calmness. 2.Marked by or exhibiting calm endurance of pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance. 3.Tolerant; understanding: an unfailingly patient leader and guide. 4.Persevering; constant: With patient industry, she revived the failing business and made it thrive. 5.Capable of calmly awaiting an outcome or result; not hasty or impulsive. 6.Capable of bearing or enduring pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance

I can still hear my mother telling me "patience is a virtue". The only one in our home that actually exhibits patience daily is our lab, Amy.

*on a side note* This is a crappy scan of Amy in training to be a very patient dog with my son 9 years ago. Notice his handful of flesh and fur.

Nice...dogs can put up with so much....As long as you feed and care for them... I know of no cat that will tolerate small children for long. (or adult) hehe....

I would like to have been able to see the dogs eyes too, in the first shot....If you had both the child and the dogs contrasting expressions, that IMO would have made a very good image... Right now it is a very pleasant snapshot. DISCLAIMER: (Just constructive critism...not knocking anything...just trying to help....for those who do not know me which is probably most of you since it's been so long since I've posted here)

although in all actuality it is..

Thank you nplus for the comments. I really do appreciate advice and constructive critism. This challenge was difficult for me. Patience kept coming to mind eventhough it is still being debated today as to whether or not it truely is a virtue. Thanks Cyn for allowing the post but if you feel it's not quite eligible for this category, please remove it. Thanks for the kudos twopynts. I really debated on posting this or not. jackie, you thought about it & took the effort.. it was a challenge for you & that's the main idea of having the challenges, so it works for me we can all use a little more patience :]
