Kinda of a dumb question. but how do I change the size of the working box in the assemble room? For example when I bring in a tree from TreeDruid at 100%, it just about fills the whole box. Thanks in advance.

you can use the zoom function to get back away from it a little, just click on the window and then click the magnifier window and select a lower zoom. Or you can use the POV tools to move back from it too. rockjockjared

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to do this yet in Carrara. You'll have to scale your entire scene down to fit in the box. You don't necessarily have to work inside the box, either, if you didn't know, it's just there for a guide.
