hi.. im very impressed with pics in Rendo gallery and another poser forums . Though many forum hate poser because premade items , i still love and use it besides another bigboy of 3d software . its easy to understand and dig up . I want to know how people here to get nice final pictures ( postwork or not ) ? because im very dumb and lack in composition . Could someone point me about postwork tutorial links maybe..? Especially for fantasy Thanks

cough every 3d program has premade items can't make an item after the pic :P psp has brushes sold, so psp must be bad too! the argument is dumb, and works against any program

Not everybody can be a Rembrandt. Sure you can create original hand crafted art like Boris Valejo or Frazetta or Luis Royo, but these guys spent years perfecting their craft. I'm not a professional artist, and have no desire to be. I create hobby art and I ignore any critisms that belittle my efforts.

If you look through the Poser tutorials here on R'osity, there are quite a few on postworking images you might find usefull. Maybe even look through the 2D tutorials for extra tips and tricks on working with whatever program you have. Also, it doesn't have to pertain to 3D specifically, but even if you just found a general art composition book, or one on photography at the local book store that might help as well. Just because your models are on a computer screen doesn't mean the same basic principles don't apply. Find something that talks about how a picture/painting was put together. Even a home decorating book might be usefull....something that can help you see how to utilize space and setup a scene. If you're having a hard time visualizing it on the computer, see if you can't do a mock up in the middle of the living room or something like that. I even practice poses in the mirror if I'm trying to do one up from scratch... =)

art isn't just about putting paint on canvass. it's the product of the imagination brought to life through the use of tools. the tools used can be pencil, paint, charcoal etc etc. the tools can also be poaser, 3dmax, photoshop. the tool is not the art nor is the premade artifacts of the tool. once upon a time artist made their own paints, now we by them pre made. digital tools are an extention of pre made paint. though we may have a figure to use the figure isn't the art, it's the canvass and poser is the paintbrush. now instead of painting a front view mona lisa we can paint her from any angle. we compose in pose lmao. jmo. just look at a newbie and what he produces in poser (me) then look at what some one who's adept in poser produces. look at lord or the rings and other films. a lot of the sfx were done in and with modeling programs. i wonder how the old masters would have faired against some of the guys at pixar. as for better rendering tuts. try and browse the web for rendering tutorials. billy :)

Here's a neat post work tool that can be used with Paint Shop Pro. Great for doing effects. I sometimes play with this plugin with my post Poser renders.Best Wishes,
Rance Sorry: forgot to add link and thought I'd stopped the post before it 'took'. Rance ;(
