I hope that you feel alright.
I would like to know, if possible, how super-realistic and shiny hair could be created in Poser v.5. I would like to apply a shader that would give the hair tints of black for contrast, but mainly blond, chocolate brown, and possibly also red coloration to the hair. Lastly, I would like the hair strands to appear very convincing, in terms of the illusion being created.
I have enclosed an image that comes very close to the type of hair that I want to learn to create. It was done by 'Bekhi' at Renderosity. It appears on top of this message. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Fidelity2,

I might be wrong on this, but it looks as though Bekhi superimposed a Poser face onto a photo, so the hair and body are actually a photograph.

Yeah, I agree. It definately looks like a photo with a Poser-rendered face added in postwork.

Fidelity, TO get close to that look with a pure poser model will require that you either post work the hair entirely (ie draw it in a painter type program.) To ease this there are nice hair "tubes", some in free stuff, that can be used as a base for your painting. Or select a hair model that is close to the look you want, render the picture and toch it up in a painter type program. If you are new at this this is probably the best option to get 3d looking hair. Most realistic looking hair in poser is don;t with one of those two methods. Some people seem to have sucess with "out of the box" hair but that situation is few and far between. mike
