anybody know how to create a severed head? could it be done in uv mapper? y'know like for a guillotine effect and stuff. Or does anybody sell cut off Michael heads around here? lol

You could export the Michael mesh then use a modeling program to cut the head off and re-import it.

Just export the head as an obj and import it again.
Petunia posted Mon, 06 February 2006 at 5:13 PM
And make sure it has a bit of gore and muck.

Or does anybody sell cut off Michael heads around here? lol Actually, yes, though it's designed for Michael 1-2 (rather than Michael 3), and is only available at Renderotica, as far as I know.

Renderotica - Yes, I have seen a gore set there that includes it.
pakled posted Mon, 06 February 2006 at 8:20 PM
yup..export the head and neck as an object into Wings (for example), maybe mess up some of the polygons in the end of the next, texture color the edge of the neck, and import into Bryce..'ts how I'd do it..;)

Aren't there spare parts in the additional figures runtime? :)

I tried to export just the head (I am not real good at exporting objects, or probably have no clue of how to do it) coz when I brought it back,,the whole body was with it..?? I looked at Renderotica, but I sort of want to keep the character I already created to lose his head. Besides those props looked a bit fakish.
radstorm posted Mon, 06 February 2006 at 11:50 PM
Oh by the way..I am using Pro Pack
radstorm posted Tue, 07 February 2006 at 12:19 AM
Oh and also..Thanks to Little_Dragon for all the free stuff. Renderosity should put a comment area for free stuff, so we can thank people for the stuff they give away free too.. Anyhow, I got your haysatck the other day..got plans for that one :0)

Do you want a severed heard? Arm? or other body part and still retain the morph and textures? Then the Setup Room is your friend! Yes, take your figure into your friendly Setup Room and delete the unneeded bones. For a severed head, delete all of the bones execept head. When you leave the Setup Room you will get an error message that there are ungrouped polygons. Ignor it. To get the head, from the body drop down menu select prop, setup_whatever it says and delete it. Voila!! One each type Head!! Save it back to the figures library for future use.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Thanks to Little_Dragon for all the free stuff. You're welcome. >> Renderosity should put a comment area for free stuff .... That's why I usually start a thread here in the Poser forum to announce a new freebie, then provide a link to that thread in the Notes/Requirements field. Not so much to bask in the praise and adulation, but for product support and the like, in the event someone finds a problem with the item. And I can post larger preview pics.
radstorm posted Tue, 07 February 2006 at 10:20 AM
Well there's nothing wrong with praising people for freebies too. They also took someone time and effort to create :0) I'll be over there>> learning how to spell "haystack"..lol Y'know if somebody condensed the poser forum into a book, it would be the best Poser help manual ever written. Real problems solved by real people :0)

when I get a particularly nice or useful free item, I usually try to let the person know that it is appreciated.

wheatpenny posted Tue, 07 February 2006 at 12:52 PM Site Admin
You can still post reviews for anything in your purchase history (except, possibly, for things that are no longer in the store), even stuff you bought years ago.
