Wow, it is working great!. I'm totally envious! Hey, if you ever get any clear skys, try taking some long nightsky exposures. You should be able to pick up the stars much better now. Loving your IR shots...how much to do my camera? I have an Olympus C3030 that is not used much these days... ;] What are you using as a filter? Dang, I so want that EOS 20Da...

it can be done to your Oly. Here is a link for Oly Cx0x0 cameras and how to do it... Otherwise I claim No Responsibility for breaking your camera....TwoPynts posted Wed, 08 February 2006 at 7:58 AM
Dude, you may have just created a monster! ;] Thanks for that link...I'll have to explore it fully soon. Then I get me the tools and get to work! About how long did it take you do complete your conversion from first screw out to final screw back in?

I'm still working on it actually testing different filter materials etc...but If you have all the materials it should only take a few hours to day depending on the complexity of the camera innards and if stuff need to be de/re soldered... I bet you could do it in a day.

Assuming the kids didn't knock everything off the table. Another question. That link you gave me sent me off to find tons of other info on the web about IR digital photography and conversions. What type of glass did you use to replace the hot mirror and where/how did you get it? They say you have to have that otherwise your camera gets VERY nearsighted. Funny, reading a chart, looks like my C8080 is almost the worst possible cam I could use to IR photography unmodded. ;] May get a C2020 though, supposed to be the best to have out of the box.
