If you're a Firefox user, here is a Mozilla developers site: "Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension which lets you to add bits of DHTML ("user scripts") to any web page to change its behavior. In much the same way that user CSS lets you take control of a web page's style, user scripts let you easily control any aspect of a web page's design or interaction." You can then download custom scripts that only affect certain pages- for example, the scripts block banners at Yahoo Mail, but allow you to see the banner ads here. --John

Thanks John,going to check it out. I've been using the "AdBlock" extension (link). One great thing I like about it is you can block individual images also....which is very useful when someone post an oversized image in a thread and you have to scroll back and forth to read anything. OT (kind of): I really love the "ImageZoom" extension for zooming in on gallery pics.
