Just thought I'd let you all know! My wife had on MTV spring Break, and they are using straight-out-of-the-box Poser for all the quick inserts between segments and stuff. It's kind of neat to see Poser in action. Check it out!

No cable - drat! If anyone can do a frame grab, I'd love to see they how they are using it.

I've seen those and wondered if they where Poser figures. My first guess was 'no' since the rendering didn't look like what I'd expect from Poser. Where the figures taken into another program for the renders?

A recent clip this morning showed what looked like some of Posette's hair styes. But it could also be 3D Max and Character Studio, since Zygote made figures for both Poser and Character Studio.

I have TiVO so I let it record MTV for a little while, then rewound to one of the spots, then did a frame-by-frame. It's very possible it was done in Character Studio using Zygote figures, but I really think it was done in Poser. The spots go by so fast that you miss that the backgrounds are actually live action stills. It looks like the animations were rendered in Poser and then composited onto the background in such a way that it retained the shadows on the ground. The biggest evidence that it is Poser is the way that Posette's shoulder joints move in one of the scenes.
