I need to find a set of smoke props, fire props or such that can be set up and viewed as gunfire smoke from a barrel. The guns I am hoping to use this for range from old west to sci-fi . Any idea or clues where to find such. I tried to make some using PS cs2 and Poser but no luck

Depends on what you need..still or animated? There are several over in the marketplace..just type in "smoke" in search over there :0) I got the fire effect one from RomanceWORKS sometime back..and was pretty happy with it..they make a smoke one also

SnowSultan has a nice smoke freebie here. I've used them in a few animations.
