Could someone explain to me exactly what it is we use the script SqueezeIt on and what it is we can freely distribute afterwards please? I read the description of SqueezeIt but I still don't understand. Sorry.

SqueezeIt does what's described in the morphworld tutorial, removes everything but the vertex information ("v" lines).
Once a morph has been squished you can distribute the squished OBJ file for people to load as a moprh target.

If you distribute a morph in OBJ form, it would normally contain the complete geometry of the thing that's being morphed, which is a copyright no-no. Squishing removes all the information that Poser doesn't need from the file, basically everything except the vertex positions, and in the process makes it okay to distribute. The process goes like this: - Form your morph (WITHOUT using any of the morphs supplied with the figure) - Export the body part(s) you morphed to Wavefront OBJ format, checking the 'as morph target' box - Apply the SqueezeIt script to the resulting OBJ file - Redistribute I crossposted...

So in a nutshell, Francemi, export each group that's been morphed, and then squeeze each of them, and resave them.
zip up all the morphs with a small readme, telling peopel to load each morph into the target groups.
And keep in mind you can't use commercial morphs in combination for redistribution.. only ones you've created yourself.

Okay, why not distribute them in a blank cr2 or morph carrier (pose or cr2 file with only bodyparts and morph information contained)? If you save the cr2 from poser with the morphs, they get stripped already. You can then just simply include instructions on how to use morph manager or maconstructor to move them into the figure.

"You can then just simply include instructions on how to use morph manager or maconstructor to move them into the figure." Because some people don't have those utilities, but DO have poser. And the idea was to get them available fast, not spend a lot of time writing instructions, and digging them up. (As it was, it took me almost a half hour to even find them!) I know I added a number of morphs to my OWN emotiguy, and just wanted to add a few more easily. (I hadn't even added the morphs to my version either.) I just think distributing the squished obj is best when its only 1 or 2 morphs. If it were a bunch of them, blank cr2 distribution would have made more sense.

Oh yeah, I know.. but I've had people ask how to even use them as they are, and don't understand something as basic as adding a new morphs. I think the popularity of DS has brought a lot of new users to the poserverse, and while that's a godo thing, it means there are also a lot of people with very little experience or poser tech knowledge.

Oh, I completely understand that. However, I think to get the most out of their "3D Experience", they should be willing to dabble a bit. If not, forever wander the forums confused :D I have a readme "template" with instructions how to move morphs using both programs and would be willing to share it with you if you'd like for larger morph collections :)

You can get MorphSquisher in the PoserPros free stuff forum, it was made when bushi's MorphSqueeze was unavailable.
