I'm so thrilled that the first picture from my recent India trip was a part of the "picks of the week". I cannot tell you how bad I felt having accidently deleted most of the pictures from our last trip. It felt like a blessing that I got a new "shot" (no pun intended! *g*). This time we got lotsa different experiences. (I've got photographically proof that my hubby fixed a flat on an Indian highway... hmm.... what traffic rules??!!) Driving off the beaten track was such a treat! (flats included!) We got to go to two of the treasures that are on Unesco's list of treasures of the world, the temple caves of Ellora and Ajanta. Both places just jaw dropping. The attached picture is of one of the most famous caves at Ellora - the Jain cave. Close to 1000 years old, it is not possible for us how they made this (all angles 90 degrees, voulcanic fragile rock) engineering possible. The traces of the paint is from the original cave.. centuries old. I posted another picture in the gallery. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1157658&Start=1&Sectionid=8&filter_genre_id=0&WhatsNew=Yes we took a pitstop in the farmland on our way back to the city of Pune because we realized a lot of harvesting was going on, and we were curious! What a great, great experience. Pitstops are great! :) Again. Thanks a lot for acknowledging my India pictures. Britt
