Dr. G, I have an ongoing wind problem. I'm trying to figure out how to use wind velocity in Poser 5 and the manual is nearly useless due to its lack of simple, easy to follow directions on how to use the little fan thingie and make it blow across, say, a skirt to simulate the wind at play in a scene. Might you have one of your famous tutorials somewhere on how to use wind?

"Dr. G, I have an ongoing wind problem." Classic unfortunate opening sentence. :D head on desk, laughing uncontrollably

Ah...my nefarious plan for using a snappy opening line worked! My evil plans have come to fruition...but wait, wouldn't more fruit make the wind problem worse? What's an up-and-coming Evil Overloard to do?? Thanks, everyone, for your responses. I guess I'll just have to make less wind till I understand the process.

I was wondering what that smell was ... I could smell it all the way over on the Galleries. LOL

Just enjoying the Vue. :0)

Seriously Tony,

Here's a MTWTO for you - (Mini Tut With Text Only)

The secret is to turn ON collisions for both the "fan" and the other object, i.e., skirt. (AND the studio)

Then you can adjust the fan's parameters to achieve the desired effect >>> in an animation.

@Guida.. telepathy(sp?) is perfectly correct spelling. From the Greek "tele" (= far) + "pathy" (= feeling). (but that should be "did you two have" (not "had") :-)) Cheers, (feeling pedantic and cross and a lot of time on my hands 'cos I hit "Mark all read" instead of "Back" from page 3 of the 58 threads in this forum when I last entered it, thus losing all the current threads. Again!) Diolma
