I prefer #3 because the dark and overcasted sky enhances the main subject - lighthouse; the whole compo is the best of the three (just my opinion).

#3 Much better light and realistic colour.
And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies
live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to
sea in a Sieve.

ditto #3, the doors are open, and my eyes are sucked right in there.

Yep I would go with #3 too, best over all exposure, best light, colour rendition, like the sky detail.

what you see is not what you know; it in your face

For me, it would be a vote between #2 and #3. The winner is #2. Why? Pretty much in compo and pov...the first one seems too close. #3 is ingriguing and nice but for reasons I cannot explain, #2 grabs me the most. Thanks for the neat shots. I would like to see a bit more light on the tower in #2 but the compo is why I like it. Some will like the others for the same reason! Go figure... Which do you like best?

#3 - good contrast (the highlights don't blow out like in #4), the walkway leads you "in" for the shot without taking you up the middle - which isn't bad in and of itself - but your eye keeps moving for #3 once you're in there. And - in contrast to #1 - you've filled or cut out the "blank space" of just clouds on the left very nicely. All well done in general! -Lew ;-)

Thanks for the retake..now, my choice is #5, but prefer the highlights on the building siding in #3. Put the rest of 5 with the siding on the building as in 3 and that is it!!! Too much for me to do! LOL. Neat shots.

By composing #2 as such you have given the viewer a more complete and interesting picture to enjoy. :-)

#1 & #3 but in 3 I would bring down the highlights, just a bit. :"o)
Question the question. Answer the question. Question the
answer...
I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Third one without a doubt. That one is really perfect. Beautiful photos Kimmie. #:O)
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

#3 Hey, I'm not alone. All are good but that one stands out as the most inviting for some reason. I'd reduce the border a bit though, if it were mine. And perhaps tone the highlights down just a tad. :)
