You have to buy them separately at DaZ's website.

Right, RealitysPoison. Victoria and Michael are for sale at Daz3D. They are advanced versions of the Poser stock people. There are also other free and for-sale Poser characters as well. Morph World (sorry, don't remember the URL, but I think it's in a resources link somewhere around here), BBay (www.bbay.com), the store here, and the stores at 3D Commune (www.3dCommune.com) and Renderotica (www.renderotica.com), as does the Free Stuff here and at the Commune.

Just wanted to clarify something that CharlieBrown said. Yes, they are advanced versions of the Poser stock people.... but regular Poser 4 clotes will not fit them. Just wanted you to be aware of that. I know some people don't realize that before buying them. But not to fear, there are some great clothes at DAZ3D and in the stores here and at Bbay.

Victoria and Michael are not 'advanced versions of the Poser stock people'; they are entirely new figures with completely different, higher resolution meshes, based on real body scans. They have no similarity to the stock Poser figures other than being human (mostly ;-)), and made by the same company for use in Poser. Figures like 'Eve' (Morph World) are the 'advanced versions' of the Poser stock figures.

You will also be using MORE memory to run them; their vertices are different and they are overall and generally much "richer" to run within poser. You will also find a lot less "morph" add-ons for them. In particular, the faces are incredibly diverse, you can do an incredible amount of alterations with the facial features provided you have the morphs needed and the realism is also superb,...as well as in the "hands", they too look real. On a slight setback note, Victoria's knees leave a lot to be desired and are difficult to bend without looking slightly odd.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, Victoria was created essentially by Zygote people encasing some woman in plaster a few years ago. So Victoria is real, and walking around out there somewhere. I don't know about Michael.

{So Victoria is real, and walking around out there somewhere. I don't know about Michael. } That's a mis-interpetation of material posted to their site. If I understand correctly, Victoria's face was modelled after a figure they created based on a real woman (so it was two places removed from "reality"). A lot of the work that went into that real-world based model was applied to Victoria, but she is more closely related to Posette than to the "real" model, and really lies somewhere inbetween the two. Michael is probably the same way, but I don't know.

I don't know. I have a magazine from years ago that shows Zygote people actually encasing a woman in plaster. Her facial features look like Victoria. I have never seen the reference on their web site, I was just working from pictures I've seen and the magazine article.

ookami is correct the Poser 4 clothes do not fit Vicky. However, with a lot of work they can be made to fit. Check my store for an example,( Clothing Morph Kit 2).

I remember Zygote saying something about Michael being scanned from a real person, when he first came out, so I would assume there a "real" Michael out there somewhere, too. Melanie

At Curious labs you can get a CD Vicki, her clothes & the gel hair ($89) or Mike, his clothes & the wedge hair ($89) I have no idea why these CDs aren't offered at Daz
