Not sure how it happened but the 'soft edge glow' action in my photoshop 7 has gone funny somehow. When I try to apply it something over on the side scrolls really fast and my image disappears. It saves apparently because none are lost so far. Does this sound familiar to anyone..any suggestions? Myst

Not sure why your image disappears, but the scrolling really fast on the righthand side is your Action. You can open it up and look at and/or modify any part of it you want. Like changing colors, styles etc....But again, I am unsure why it disappears. On some of my bigger actions, it will disappear, but only momentarily, it always comes back and in the format the action create it to be, is this what you meaning??? Does it come back after a few/many seconds? The actions work only as fast as you have RAM for it to work.

No, it simply closes the image, it doesn't come back.. So far I haven't lost any images. I have plenty of available RAM for the action. Its really very puzzling. Myst

Honestly it is hard to know exactly what is going on, so let me try to troubleshoot it with a few questions: 1. Did you create the Action? 2. If you did create the Action, did you put into the Action at the end to 'Save it'after completion? 3. If you did not, then open up the Action by clicking on it in the Righthand part of PS and look towards the bottom and End. It is possible that whomever created it added a save process. SOMETIMES, you can disable a process without interfering with the rest of the Action, especially if it is at the end. Or you may be able to reroute it to where you want it to go, ie. a certain folder. I appologize that I am not able to help more. Without looking at it and seeing exactly what is happening, it is not possible to make a proper diagnoses. Please let me know if this helped any at all. IF NOT, I have another alternative to try, but try the above first, OK??? Mark aka Thelby
