Yippee! I've been waiting on this one.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up!

Sounds great. Any news on resolved bugs/issues?...or on new ones?

So far....although the OSX GI bug is not mentioned in the list, a test scene of Transposer'd dynamic hair is now rendering in GI without crashing. It also seems a bit faster -- but that might be just me.

Good News. Seems I have to update!

I just updated, but when I imported a poser Cr2 natively it came in without her prop saphire fox hair, and her head which I'd scaled to 108% with x at 104% came in at default size I think, and her bikinis didn't quite fit her either. Love esther

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

warning goofy question... When I update to 5.0.5, am I to update the transposer file as well? I currently have Carrara Pro 5.0. Thanx

It should all be taken care of automatically.

One of the test renders I've been wasting my weekend on...

Skylight and indirect light only, mid-frame of simple animation.

nomuse posted Sun, 05 March 2006 at 3:28 PM

And another render.

"Realistic" sky with a single sun light. Modified version of same hair preset. In both you can see the not-quite-fitting skullcap a little (my feeling is also this preset needs a little more "noise."

NoMuse: The first face is really pretty. What character is it? And what morph? I recognize the second one as being one of Sarsa/Thorneworks' Laura 3 model morphs.

nomuse posted Sat, 11 March 2006 at 1:35 PM

I think the first might be L2 with Thorne's "Mellisa Blue" tex but with morphs injected. I was just getting tired of looking at that incredibly ugly default texture while I rendered hair after hair. The hair is the P5 library "little girl hair," somewhat tweaked. Anyhoo...the point to posting these was that with the 5.0.5 even us Mac users can render dynamic hair with the full range of lighting options. I think the next thing I may try is seeing if a little SSS adds something to fine blond hair. I also think hair would benefit from a bit of anisotropic shading (like so many other things....!)
