It shows how "real looking" Poser 4 characters can be.

Yep... I did use a noise bump map.. Indeed the hair will have to change in the future... Perhaps new methods for rending hair will be developed by the time Poser 5 is released... Until then, tricks of the light, clever texture/transparency maps, and post production will have to cover for this hard to mask shortcoming... I'm sure eventually someone will come up with a no effort technique for creating convincing hair... really, I think it's becoming less about what you CAN create, and more about what you choose to create... What you desire to express.. and what the story is that you want to tell... Whether you have an artistic hand becomes less a factor than whether you have an artistic eye, mind, or soul... Anyway.. in a unusually introspective mood this eve... Well... time for bed, methinks...

we've got realistic textures for the skin but the hair looks still "comic". i'm doing experiments with transparency maps on the hair but i'm not satisfied yet. maybe someone has solved the problem yet??? StoneCold

Apart from agreeing with all of the above--and kudos to you for the sensitive pose and rendering--I would only add that here is a pose where a morph target on the breasts to reflect gravity pulling them slightly to the side as well as down would add some more realism.
