I use paths primarily for drawing cartoon style figures. I've tried Illustrator, but it's a pretty steep learning curve; Photoshop works for me. I know this is probably a stupid question, but is there anything I should be aware of copying and pasting complex paths from a PSD into another PSD. Once I create a complex (for me) set of paths, I'd like to be to reuse it in other projects. Usually it would involve resizing for use in new projects.

You mean you want to keep the paths editable? There may verywell be a way to do so, but I don't know of any... Things would be a lot easier if you'd bite your way thrue Illustrator, it offers all you want for cartoon-style CG. Many of my friends (well, the few I have anyway) found Illustrator scary at first, but after a few trials and errors and some help, they never turned to Photoshop again for animor cartoon style graphics. Give it one more shot, I will help you if you need assistance, just post your questions on this forum (screw this being a Photoshop forum, as long as it's adobe software I see no harm;-) Mike

Open up both PSDs and drag path from one to the other.

Adobe has bought FreeHand so I can recomend it lol.. FreeHand and Illustrator are the best of the best among vector apps. The only difference is that Illustrator have harder learning curve than FreeHand :) Tihomir

What I find useful, is to have BOTH on the sys... there are things that I can do in Photoshop that I can't, in Illustrator, and vice-versa. Personally, I think this OUGHT to formally be a Photoshop/Illustrator forum... there are many who use Illustrator rather than Photoshop. Lou.
