Just FYI, I have a 700 Athlon PC with 256 RAM and a 64MB Radeon 3d card. I've been playing with poser modeling different models and decided to try importing them into Bryce 3D. I've played with bryce before and never had much of a wait rendering things like mountians and shapes. However my poses needed trees, lots of trees, a forest in fact. I had a druid and wolves I wanted to import. So I did a test render just to look at some of the trees bryce had. I added a plain, a mountain and 4 trees. Clicked render and got the message that the calculated render time was two and a half hours!! Well I couldn't believe it so I just let it go to see what happens. Well an hour and a half later it was still rendering. I finally just stopped it. Now this was before I even tried to bring over any poser models. My question is, "is this right?" Does it really take that long to render a tree? How do you go about doing a whole forest, or at least a half dozen background trees?
