Just an FYI. Amapi v6, Carrara's 'sister' program, is now out with a downloadable trial edition (12.5M) Antoine indicated that they will be porting Amapi to Carrara in the near future either as a plug in trasition type of thing or as an embedded addition for what he called a Super Carrara. Mark

Looks like it has some really nice new modeling fearures. I hope they make it into Carrara sometime soon.

I am trying to download the Trial edition and I keep getting this massage: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers erreur '80004005' [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data. /Connections/download_eovia.asp, ligne 76 I guess the server is to busy.

Before I try to D/L Amapi6 (I'm in 28.8 hell).Can anybody tell me if the Demo is a time-out, crippled or a can't save version? I can't seem to find this info anywhere on their site? Have fun Dave

It's a 30 day trial version.

I didn't enter my registration key yet, and i've been able to launch Amapi with saves disabled . So i guess that once the 30 day trial has expired, it'll still work but saves will be disabled . litst

Took two hours but I got it. Tried to D/L the Tutorial but every time I tried it would lock up my browser? I have Arobat4 and I'm using IE4.72. Never had a problem with PDF's before? Anyway, it looks to be an interesting app. It's the first time I've touched Amapi so the interface is a little strange to me but I think I won't have much trouble with it. I guess I better get back to Amapi :) Have fun Dave
