I think this is a lovely image. I think it just needs the levels adjusted in Photoshop to make it a tad brighter though I would keep the soft contrast. The figure and the background really mesh together properly, the scene and pose/expression is sweet, the texture and lighting effective. Is this Aiko3? I have Aiko3LE, is there someone's homemade equivalent to the morph set "realistic" morph? I don't want to buy the set. Anyway... the issue is that the lights are murky, the question is whether you can tweak the brightness without loosing the soft contrast.

there is no fine detail to the shadow. zoom in on the shadowcam to remedy that (asssuming it's a poser render).

The eyes. There is no life in the eyes, too dull. Jack

Beautiful portrait! Only thing I would suggest is redoing the sunbursts in the eyes. I'd set the Ray Density and Brightness both to zero.

That soft dull light look; is that what your aiming for?

The light on the nose, it looks like it clips off the tip of the nose.

I like the look and atmosphere, however, what distracted me was the light on her face which makes the skin on her face appear different from the rest of the skin on her body. Perhaps the contrast of skin tone is too great. Changing the light for her face may also solve that nose problem mentioned by Niles. Cheers.

You can get the hair to render better by turning down the minimum shading rate to 0.2-0.5 in the render settings dialog.

I think it's a very cute pic. I would agree with momodot above.

the second render is ok, but like momodot I also prefer the first image for pretty much the same reasons. N agree about the nose.

I thank everyone for their comments, When I finished it I noticed the eyes were lacking something and the nose seemed to drop off to nothing. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being overly critical. The second image took too much away of the overall effect I was trying to achieve (a mysterious, sublight effect). When I got to work today I called this page up and there was a big difference in the images then when I call them up on my home computer. I check my calibration once a week. The ones at work are also supposed to be correct. So people may have seen slightly different images. momodot the image you did in photoshop looks ok for a different type of effect, but the effect I am going for is a mysterious, sublight effect as seen through misty type eyes. I do thank you for your comments on the first image. This is Aiko the full version set to real with a morph for the eyes that I made.

I tried to call back my first image, but I had to have overwritten it with my second image. I do that every once in a while. It really bugs me. I will have to remember how I did the first image.

The eyes in the second one are wrong because of the painted highlights but I agree with the other stuff peopel said.
