Sketchit rocks, thanks for pointing it out. now it's all your fault the trial lasts 8 hours of modelling time. i know a couple of people in the chat and on the forums that are crying because of you :P drac

I'm not crying. I'm just upset that I've lost another 8 hours playing with something that will eat my soul and then leave me with nothing more than a "your trial has now expired"

Profuse apologies. In mitigation I plead that others have also mentioned Sketchup on the forum. I'll natter more after work.

I played with Sketchup at Siggraph '05. I bet I could lose days of my life just drawing and extruding stuff. Fun and easy! AS

A splendid but simple modelling program for non-techies.

I think I wrote to Dan Farr at DAZ ages ago recommending that they see about licensing some of the Sketchup technology for Bryce. All the architectural and CAD related stuff they could drop, but having those basic drawing/building tools within Bryce would be an enourmous step forward.

I've had version 3 for ages but dropped out of computer life to a great extent shortly after getting it. The upgrades are cheap so I think I'll go to version 5 this week. The "follow me" tool looks like fun.

Wings is way more powerful and much cheaper, but I don't 'get' Wings. In my fumbling dyslexia, Sketchup is the Bryce of 3D modelling.

If you don't like Wings try SILO ! Thanks for the Sketchup link BTW!
