Recently, my Poser 5 has become possesed by a demon. I first noticed the problem with certain light sets. At a certain time,(usually during the "Render" function),an extra parameter dial popped up entitled "Left Forearm". Lately, it's happening more often and does not necessarily involve light sets. It does it now with certain textures. It freezes Poser and the only way I can clear it is to close Poser 5 and start over. If I try to save the scene, it only replicates the same problem upon re-opening. Is there an exorcism available or is my Poser 5 headed for hell? It is the same regardless of the render engine I am using. Can anyone help? Is this a common problem? Thanks for any and all help.

Hey TMT... sorry to hear of your troubles. Of all the weird stuff I've experienced with Poser, or read about, this might be the weirdest. I wish I could help out with something specific. Here's a guess: does it only happen when you are using V3? or only happen with a specific base figure? I'm wondering if your .obj or geometry .rsr or something is corrupt. I used to get weird problems with Poser 4, when it crashed, that would bet solved only by deleted the .rsrs in the Geometry folder. Again, just a wild guess. Good luck.

The dreaded Forearm of Doom was a recurring problem in early releases of Poser 5. It reportedly was patched. Have you installed Service Release 4.1?
