Here it is. But unfortunately, it's "limited functionality", and it has been crippled to the point of being totally useless.Jeff

You can try looking on ebay for someone selling it that will ship internationally

I downloaded Poser 6 from www.e-frontier on Friday, it saved having to wait for it to be delivered. You can choose to have the physical product or the downloaded version which is exactly the same as far as I know. It really is a great product.

did they not say at e-frontier that they no longer allow sales of poser at e-bay and other warez sites?
TrekkieGrrrl posted Sat, 11 March 2006 at 3:13 PM
"ebay and other warez sites"???! Ebay is much more than a warez site, thankyouverymuch... Yes there is occasionally wares for sale on ebay but as soon as they're made aware of it, they shut it down. They are NOT a warez site. But of course they can't monitor each and every thing fro sale on their site, it would take millennia and a lot of people... I've bought a LOT of things on ebay (not software though) so please don't lump it together with any random russian wares host. Ebay owns PayPal among other things. They're a highly legit company.

e-frontier makes ebay cancel auctions for poser when they find thembut a lot of them go thru undetected, and when they do, they are perfectly legit. eFrontier has never refused to recognize such a sale as valid and has always done the ownership transfer without complaint. I bought poser 5 on ebay and was able to register it (and subsequently use it for a P6 upgrade) with no problem. I've bought quite a bit of software there, all of it legit, registered with no problem. Much of it is unopened original packages. When buying software from there, always make sure it actually says that it's the original medium, and includes all original packaging, documentation, etc.

:o) I've bought a lot of CD's and DVD's through ebay because I can pay with Paypal there, which I can't on for instance Amazon. And all the CDs/DVDs I've got so far has been in their original cellophane wrapping and sealed and all :o) I wouldnt hesitate to buy software there if it was marked as new and wrapped and stuff. Not everyone has a credit card so some of us have to resort to Paypal (and therefore often ebay)( to purchase something.

Sorry have to disagree, in the game/sim communities I do design work for we find vendors on EBay that compile others work and sell it as their own all the time. It is next to impossible to get them to do anything about it because they don't care. If they can't police what is being sold on their site (it IS their responsibility), they should be shut down. I view EBay as a big warez fleamarket. I also know plenty that have bought from there and got shafted. They are a legit company with bad business morals.

Per their license, e-frontier does not allow their software to be sold on any auction site. http://www.e-frontier.com/article/articleview/1090/1/485?sbss=485/

You could post a pre-sales question on their customer support page. Guess they won't turn down a sale!

Isn't it possible to still buy it as a download? I did with both P5 and P6. That way you can also choose what country you want to "live" in when you download and that can have an effect on the price :)
