Ok some poeple may think it is a silly or fanatasy question, but it is not. I am just asking it as a generall question, as i just saw Spice Girl's old video 'Wanabe' and SG's Victoria looks so much liked DAZ Victoria 2.

I am just curiuos to know if DAZ modelled victoria on SG Victoria Beckham.

No, victoria 2 was made before victoria beckham was famous.

wait a tick! weren't the spice girls famous in the 80s or 90s or something? you know, like boy george, sir elton, sir mick and all that lot? in which case they would definitely precede any of those wacky daz figures Message671422.jpg

SPice Girls First cd came out in 1996... and they went really big internationally in 1997... Dark days those were!!! Mind you Geri Halliwell was a cutie!! (I used to work in a cd store [HMV] back then and was forced to listen to them all the time!!!) G

Oh, and in my humble opinion I think Victoria Beckham looks more like P5 Judy (or Poser 1 female figure) if ya have to compare her to any poser characters!!!! LOL!!

Isn't that a sort of slander against P5's Judy now?

it would be slander to say that she hit every branch on the way down, when she fell outta the "ugly tree". but vickie beckham is a cutie, no slander there IMVHO Message671422.jpg

My first recollection of the Spice Girls vaguely pre-dates Easter 1995, because that year at the Eastercon Masquerade they were spoofed as "Spice Girls of Dune", and I got the joke, but I could believe they didn't get a CD out until later. I think it's just the name, myself. IIRC right, the Spice Girls were one of those engineered groups, recruiting people with the "right" look who can sing. Not that they're in "Queen of the Night" territory.

I think the Spice Girls were modelled after Vicky 2. That is why one of them is called Victoria - lol

I hope you took your bosses to an industrial tribunal :) No, but round about the same time I did see KMFDM & Korn (bleah) for free so it sorta made up for it! G

EnglishBob, I like you V2-Spice. Care to tell the dial-settings and texture used ?

EnglishBob posted Mon, 13 March 2006 at 1:32 PM

Thanks jgodeau!

The figure in that picture is actually WarriorDL's Polly, a combination of Vicki's head on Posette's body. As far as I know she isn't available any more. The texture is SnowSultan's Vickybuster Again (freestuff), which is a Posette texture, so you'd need to use a remapped Vicki like the one from April's Vanity. The hair is Kozaburo's Short Hair SR-1.

Her face settings are:
Brows In 0.2000
LBrowUp 0.1958
RBrowUp 0.0587
Tongue L 0.1974
Smile 0.0802
LipFullLo 0.7263
LipCurvesUp 1.1460
LipRoundUp -0.4515
Philtrum 0.6302
NoseWide 0.2561
NoseUp 0.9651
EyesCloser 1.0000
JawSmall 0.9615
CheekBones 0.3110
FaceRound 0.6937
EyelidArch 1.0000
BowMouth 0.1291

Anything not listed above is zero, of course.

Of those morphs, the last two aren't part of the standard Vicki - they're by Nan Fredman (aka nfredman) at Cool Tuna Studio.

Hope that helps. Before anyone complains, I should add that I never set out to make a portrait of Ms. Adams (as she was then), but someone commented on the similarity, and that's how the dress got its name. :)

DarthJ posted Mon, 13 March 2006 at 3:50 PM

I applied the morphs to a "plain" V2, then did the same for a V3 (improvising here and there). Cute.

xantor posted Mon, 13 March 2006 at 5:40 PM

Well victoria 2 and 3 don`t look much like victoria beckham so the name is probably just a coincidence.
