Hi, I'm compiling a list of the best Poser artists in the NYC area. "Why" you ask? I have several web based projects in the works that will involve a lot of Poser work. I may need to hire a few exceptionally talented 3D artists to assist in production of these projects. What I am looking for is: Artists who have extensive experience with Poser4, Michael, Victoria and related props and apps. Prior experience with animation including 2D pencil test and cell animation is a plus. Art school background, or at least a serious working knowledge of commercial and fine art. Experience with 3D modelmaking and texture mapping a plus. Ability to work "within the parameters" of a predetermined "style or look" is essential. Experience with web design apps like "Flash" and web publishing a big plus. Mac platform artists are preferred but I won't exclude anyone based on that, PC artists will be needed too. If you are in NYC or close by, and are interested in being included on this list, send me an email by clicking the link below. I can't promise any work yet, but hopefully there will be some soon. All info will be completely confidential and will not be shared with or sold to anyone. On that you have my personal guarantee. For now just include; your email address, name, borrough in which you live. CPU size and type, OS, Software experience, art background and professional goals. That's it. Thanks for your time, I'll have more info for the folks who make the list.Scarab posted Fri, 30 March 2001 at 1:27 PM
Given the nature of the internet and the type of work you are talking about, why the heck are you just asking for NYC area artists?....some guy in Honolulu could probably do the job just as well.... Scarab <-(not currently in Honolulu.....damn it!)

That's a good point Scarab, and I will be looking for artists from all over the world in the next phase of this project if the first phase is successful. The reason I need NYC area artists is that in the event that an office is created I may need staff. At the very least it affords me the opportunity to meet the people I might be working with. If you meet the requirements though feel free to send me an email, I won't rule you out. I'm in complete agreement with you that some guy in Honolulu could do the same job just as well. I live in NYC, which is where this project is based that's why I need NYC artists, there are also a hell of a lot of talented artists here.

I'm afraid I probably dont fulfill the web knowledge requirements you outlined....unless you need someone to make coffee and fetch donuts for the rest of the staff.... Gofer Scarab <-("Go-go gofers, watch 'em go-go-go.....)
