Subject: UF mask: help!

Help! can anyone tell me how to make the black area of a mask mapping in UF Transparent? how do you do that? thanks, craig

Make the solid colour transparent, I should say. Click on the black bar and set the opacity to 0. If that doesn't do the trick go the outside colouring and set the opacity of the solid color there too at 0. Sometimes the outside colouring has another "color"bar somewhere, so check that as well. And if that's not enough maybe it's in the inside colouring. Anyway: check the solid color for it's opacity. Good luck. Yvonne

Hi Craig, Maybe you could attach a file with just the layer you are having trouble with so we could see which of several problems are involved. ~Vivian

  1. Activate the Mask Layer.
  2. On the gradient window make the opacity part active.
  3. In the upper left corner of UF say Gradient > invert.

thanks guys, i worked it out. the solid color needs to be transparent.
