In the style of anceint china, ala, Madarin emperor, courtiers, etc... Any one have any idea where I might find some sets, particularly for Michael 3?

PoserPros has some. JaTex also. East-Meets-West. Maybe over at 3DCommune too, if still available there.

Try Royloo's store at Poser pros. His home website might have still have other items you might want also. bB
