I use the Ctrl D command all the time in Poser... but my finger slipped, and instead of the figure dropping down to the floor, FOG fills the preview window! What did I do and how can i do it again?!?!?

if you pop over to Efrontier, they have a Quick Reference Card that lists all the shortcuts.. PDF file in Print and Screen :)

Just wait until you want to hit ctrl+e (restore element), but hit ctrl+r (render) instead (R and E are right next to each other, and it's a very easy mistake to make) and have to wait for Poser to go through all its pre-render BS until you can cancel and get back to what you were doing...

Ultra-annoying hidden bonus command!: 0 (zero): step through window modes. This is annoying because it's very easy to trigger by accidentally hitting the zero key after a failed attempt at clicking into one of the edit boxes for a parameter dials. For the curious, it cycles in the following order (starting by hitting zero while in "full port": Four Ports Three Ports - Big Left Three Ports - Big Right Three Ports - Big Top Three Ports Big Bottom Two Ports - Left/Right Two Ports - Top/Bottom Full Port

When you go to hit Ctrl-D be very careful your finger doesn't slip and you hit Ctrl-S (Save file) instead! Be careful of switching between display modes: Ctrl-8 is "textured" display, Ctrl-9 is "smooth texture" display, but Ctrl-0 (right next to Ctrl-9) is "Hide all tools". And hitting Ctrl-0 a second time is not "Unhide all tools". :( And keep in mind that some keyboard shortcuts still do not work if you're on the floating Parameters Dial Palette. I reported this issue when P5 was first released and CL (and e-frontier) have enabled most keyboard shortcuts, but be aware that some lesser-used keystrokes still don't work unless you click on the main Poser window to give it "focus". --John
