Attached Link: The poll about a Hexagon forum

Teyon says... "There hasn't been enough interest in it (Hexagon) here for a forum. Same thing with the slightly more popular Silo. When we see more folks requesting a forum for one or both of these programs, we'll start a forum."

What do you think?

There is a poll posted at eovia3d.net about this.

I can see 'rosity's point... if Renderosity has Gates' money on tap, sure.... you could have a forum for... oh, Parakeet modellers... even Ant watcher's anonymous. I think what's needed is some kind of "test platform" type arrangement, where a forum could be "tried out". On the flip side, there are slots here that have had only one or two "Comments" in the last month or more. For myself, I'm interested in hearing about Heaxgon. Lou.

Polls are fine; but unless Eovia3d.net is tied to Renderosity; what good is the poll? Any discussion should be here, so that the Renderosity people might see it.

LOL... I thought they WERE looking at it... if not, then we DO need a poll here. Lou. I need more coffee before I post opinions.....

Eovia3d members are largely French and don't use Renderosity all that much, if at all. It's like telling Martians that believe everything is flat how round the Earth is.

Looking at it, I'd say that it seems something that will be in demand, especially in view of the price, although, to upgrade, you have to shell out another $100.. that might put people off. Maybe a poll, here would be in order... maybe in the community forum? Lou.

Eovia3dnet forum has an option to start a poll. Something not available on this forum as far as I can tell. The idea of putting the option at Eovia3d.net was to let those people know that if there was interest here at Renderosity (according to Teyon) there could be a forum here for Hexagon. This is not warfare... it is a community of people who have similar interests... 3D art.

According to Shonner...
"Eovia3d members are largely French and don't use Renderosity all that much, if at all. It's like telling Martians that believe everything is flat how round the Earth is."

Yes, the Eovia3d members are predominanty French. Eovia is a French company. I have no prejudices against the French... these guys are making a fine product and also have taken on one that was going nowhere and turned it into something pretty cool. It seems to be popular at Renderosity... it's called Carrara.

Well like I said, why not post in the community forum with the question? that seems like the most reasonable solution, to me. Also, by the bye... where software comes from should not be an issue. I use software from all sorts of places, and so do many of you. Hells, Python comes from where?, and it's the base/source for Poser? Lou.

I've been checking the poll. I've also passed this thread on to the other mods and admin. There's something fairly big cooking with the forums at the moment, so the possiblity of a forum is not unlikely. I would ask that you go to the Community Center here (see last drop down menu on your screen) en masse and announce the desire for the forum. Either that or everyone who's voted (there's 14 now including myself) needs to just affirm that they want the forum in this very thread.
