Since i decided i wasgoing to host a contest and give away my precious scimitar prop ( see [ http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=2633325](http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=2633325) ) I decided to go look at it to see about gathering it up and packaging it .. wow.. it needed work. It had no textures, it wasn't even uvmapped, and the rsr for the pp2 file is a nightmarish screen cap of last i was working with it .. and nothing is organized. So i started off by mapping it. I then set off to create a texturemap for it. I applied some bump and reflection (used the default silver reflection in poser). I think what i have came out nice. Now i'm doing the pp2's. I'm thinking of doing a left hand and right hand pp2. i'm also considering making a scabbard. (i've always just used the morphing scabbardz from traveler) in rdna's free stuff. So i have a month i think i can do it ;> I figured i'd give a screenie if the scimitar with the new texturemap.

Looking good. A scabbard, etc. would be nice :) Too many swords without them in poser land.

Great sword...I can hardly wait..I've got some folks in the back room just itching to take it out for a night on the prowl...

PP2's are done .. I did a right and left hand pp2 for posette and v3. i don't want this to turn into bloatware so i stopped there. Rsr's are done and lookin nice. and now i'm workin on building the scabbard. I have the basic shape done .. now i just have to do all the details and make it spiffy, then poserize it!

i'm a little curtious if it would be possible to do morph targets to reposition the sword to fit p4 fem and v3 and if that would be better than the individual pp2's. Then i ould just have a left and right. But at the same time will it increase the package size by bloating the pp2? hrmm.... i may have some experimenting to do.

This looks real cool...I like the pins or dowels that hold the handle/grips together...very realistic. The handle's wood-grain texture sets off nicely against the "brushed" metal of it's top and bottom pieces. Very cool.
