I always thought that April Fools Day (or the day before) was meant to be a day of "fool your friends" with humorous pranks. When it change to become a day of mean pranks?

No so funny if you're a customer looking to purchase something or if you need support. If you're on a deadline and your need support, would a "this site has been hacked" cause you to laugh or panic?

I find this "prank" to be mean-spirited and a slap in the face to everyone who takes their time and energy to make things available to everyone else FOR FREE. Oh, wait, April Fools! We don't really think you're spammers. Really. Ha ha. So, if they didn't think this way, why did they think this would be funny?
