I don't know if anyone else is having trouble selecting shading domains in Hexagon and having them jumble up the next time the file is opened, but I am. For example, I have created a little elven woman character & assigned an eyeball texture map to each eye. After much trial & error, I have got the texture to "stick" to the eyeball and not reorient itself wildly every time I reopen the file. However, sometimes when I reopen the file, the eyeball texture replicates itself onto other objects, like her hat or jacket. Weird, huh? I've attatched a picture with correct textures. I don't have one with the problem shown. Any ideas as to how to get my textures to stick better?

Suggest you post the offending Hex files to Eovia Support Bug Report. Allways, that is the best chance of getting problems solved in the next update.

Thanks for suggestion. I will post at Eovia's Hex site as well. Here's an example of the eyeball texture reassigning itself to the jacket:

I get quite a bit of weirdness working with materials and shading domains in Hex too, including errors and the occasional crash. For the time being I'm just not using Hex for that task. Hopefully they'll polish it up a bit in Hex 2.

I think it's the very specific order you have to do it in. I agree it is very quirky, I hope it get's tweaked in hex2.I feel like I spend more time there than I need to do for a simple task.

No need to think outside the box....
