I just read that Rendo obviously thinks that we all should be perfectly happy with the website design THEY choose for us. Who needs a larger fontsize and high-contrast backgrounds anyway, huh ? >You can create your own style sheet to over ride the default colors for instance in firefox. Stacey Granstaff. Community Manager< No, I cant. Firefox gives only very limited options, and once it is set up to override a websites design, it will do so with ALL websites, even those whose design I actally LIKE. (Because they were programmed with user friendlieness in mind, not someones idea of "cool design") So from now on I have to use Firefox instead of IE just to make Renderosities idea of site design not hurting my eyes and switch back to IE for my other browsing ? How NICE. How absolutely USER FRIENDLY. And to top it off, the search function doesnt work a single bit because it forces its own idea of "relevance" on the results. Doesnt Renderosity make enough money already from selling Poser stuff to use a TRIED AND TESTED, and most of all WORKING, PHP package for the most frequented POSER board ? No, they have to make THEIR OWN one from scratch, so that Bondware can sell that package, too. Only problem is, people arent stupid, and who wants to buy a PHP board package that doesnt even allow its users to adjust THE FONT SIZE IN Internet Explorer ? MANY THANKS RENDEROSITY !

In firefox there's a pulldown for "Page Style" under the "View" on the pulldown menu... If our demands to bring back some of the old options fail, I think we'll have to ask someone to do a nice writeup on creating user style sheets in Firefox. I know there is a way to add your own under the page style settings in Firefox instead of writing over the defaults. (Which sounds like part of the problem in your gripe.) That way you can use your one defined set for viewing a site such as this one, and then go back to "Basic Style Page" (the default) to view other sites as normally intended. We just need some brief documentation on classes and IDs used for elements of the Renderosity site so we can create and possibly share style sheets for viewing the site to our own preferences. Who knows... Maybe I'll get around to figuring it out if I find the time. ;)

No, they have to be different and try to write their own the way they want it. Thats why we don't have alot of features available on other php sites like changing colors, searches working correctly, saved bookmarks going to the post that you bookmarked instead of going to the main forum page, etc.

Bitter? It has nothing to do with being bitter. Some of us need the higher contrast backgrounds in order to be able to see the site well first of all. Add to that, its sort of like peeing on my leg and telling me its raining, by telling me, that in order to give me more options, they need to take those options I already had away. And oh, just for the record, I asked about this very issue several days before the changeover, I find it very telling that the ptb did not deign to answer my inquiry about this issue at that time, but rather waited untill after the changeover to tell everyone "by the way, we don't care if you like the site layout options or not." And, one of the major reasons given for the changes was speed, well guess what, the forums now load slow as molasses for me, while before they were just fine. I don't think I'm bitter, I think I have some legitimate complaints, and as a member for a number of years now, who's supported this site by putting galleries here, and purchasing from the merchants I think I've bought the right to gripe if I dont like something once in a while.
