Hi all..First of all, thanks to the staff executing what seems to be a pretty smooth transaction all things considered. I know this will be a busy week for you and I think we should all try to be patient while the new software is tweaked, and new features are implemented. Big Kudos' Anyway...I was wondering if the e-bot link from a thread I've participated in,could take me to the appropriate page in the thread. For example: I reply to a thread on page one. I get an e-bot when the person after me posts a reply. The e-bot takes me to page one. Okay....lets say the thread moves along and now were on page 2 As it is now, when I get an e-bot,it takes me back to page one.(the beginning of the thread) Not only do I have to wait for page one to load,I then have to click on page 2 to get to the latest reply. Lets take it one step further. Lets say I last read the thread when it was on page 3. Several hours or days go by as I do real life things. By now...the thread has several pages on it. I get an e-bot,which takes me to page one. I then have to remember which page I was on when I last checked the thread. I could spend lots of time stepping through the several pages trying to find out where I left off. Okay...now the question: Is the E-bot software smart enough (or can it be programmed to...) remember what page I was on the last time I visited a thread? Better yet..can it take me directly to the post that actually generated the e-bot? I realize this may be difficult to accomplish but I think it would be a reasonable request given the fact that as it is now,one must step through pages to find the place they left off. Thanks Tom.

"Is the E-bot software smart enough (or can it be programmed to...) remember what page I was on the last time I visited a thread?" I would think so, being that every other phpBB manages to do it that way...

Every other phpBB also let you choose how to view the forum topics, whether by date created or, the intelligent & logical way, date last replied to

Maybe this is very special phpBB?

It IS very special, as it's not phpBB (at least so they say) - it's a custom coded php-based forum. And since they aim to sell this (after all that is what Bondware does for a living...) they won't/can't include any of the normal phpBB functions....... chew on that one for a moment... I just wonder who in the world would be interested in buying forum software with less options than all the free php-ones... g060.gif
