IMHO, this should be addressed ASAP. My preference would be to have a way to turn off display of "Read" threads that have no new posts attached. (ie, those with grey stars). Not only would that make browsing (for regulars) easier, but it would also be faster, since I (we) wouldn't have to wait for a load of threads that I have already read and havn't had new posts added to be displayed... I understood that a pop. poll showed (some time back) that it should be OFF by default (and I, for one agree. I have to turn it off every time...). Can't this be made a global option? For all forums?
