Well I for one am really sorry to see Marcus go, I felt he added a real contribution to the site, the quality of his work is incredible. I'm surprised that renderosity was unwilling to support him when his images were being ripped from this site, and posted elsewhere by someone with either a lack of morals or indifference to copyright.

I agree. Marcus is a very talented artist and I will miss him from this site. It's a shame. It's a sad state when thieves win and the good guys get the dirty end of things.

Not another one! :m_bawling: Dammit, I am going to have to revamp almost my entire Favorite Artist list at this rate. This has got to stop, I am getting disgusted... :b_upset:  👎 :scared:  :cursing: :glare: :crying: 😠 :m_skull: :m_redfaced:

Marcus told me what happened. Not handled well in my opinion, but I won't get into it. :a_lipssealed:

It is not good news to know some RR's 'referencere' member left.
As you all know some other 'references' have left.
I, as an pure amateur with LOTS to learn, feel kind of 'lost'.
I keep on going.
I do not a public FAV artist list.
I do have one in my mind and browse the gallery for new ideas and for what I believe is good photography.
IMHO, we still have excellent photographers around and new comers with fresh and good ideas.
I do not forget the work of some of those who 'left' an inspired me.

I love this place and I do hope that some 'troubled waters' calm down.
This place needs everyone (including those who 'left' for some reason that I do respect).

Carlos.

It's always sad to see ppl who are specialists in a field feel that they have to leave, I think I would be pissed too if ppl were stealing my stuff, but then I don't post huge files that are printable, and my work prob isn't good enough to face fronting some buggers website... I agree with Joe on this one...

The site lost another great photographer and contributor when MJR left. Not only for his images but for his how-to's and advice, and humour, and integrity. I see a day in the not too far distance where the "community" part of this site will be a thing of the past and that is unfortunate. I have been here less than a year and have already seen this happen several times. I had always considered Marcus to be a responsible, concerned human asset to this site and not one to arbitrarily create a ruckus. I had assumed he had decided to stop posting because of the getting 'ripped off' thing but when I became aware that he had been suspended for speaking openly about the facts of the situation, I was amazed. Shame on whoever let this happen. Lee

Hi photography people, I'm a Poser person, and I thought you might like to know that I just posted a render in tribute to MJR. Yep, it's a girl on a pillar... :) I'm very sorry to see him go.

A VERY fitting tribute. You really put him on a pedastle there, heheh. :m_wink: Well done - we are all sorry to have lost him as an RR member.
