I remember way back when there were some chalenges here in the modeling forum. I think it might be a good idea to start it up again. Keep the subjects simple and to the point. I don't want to suggest any topic yet I just think it would be nice to have a software independant modeling competition here again.

I'm waiting for some important issues with the site to get fixed before implementing challenges. However, I am planning to start them up again.

Cool. I thought they were cool. I only participated in one here but in this forum but they are a lot of fun to see interpretations of a theme from people.

sounds cool, more than 1 type of app doing same thing.
"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

I would like to put my Blender skills up against some of the other high-end commercial apps here!

Sounds like fun there was an informal model a car challenge towards the end of last year/early this year. My main problem is time - I still have a half modelled car! I also tend to watch the challenge arena forum, which covers not only different apps, but completely different art types, (photography, 2d, 3d, writing etc...) can be really interesting to see a 3d work versus a photo versus a poem!
