Unless there is an obscure curse of a Pharaoh striking me personally, the galleries' images are gone!............ (also from our homepages)....... Could that be yet another exploit of the "programmers", the ingenuity of whom apparently knows no limits?... If this is the case I need to congratulate them. It took them two months to patch up the mess they have created during the marketplace conversion, then they managed to turn the forums into chaos, increasing the loading time in the process, now the galleries... What's next? I can't wait!........... Wow! Awesome!!!

Well i just wanna say that YOU can't see the images and others can.. does only mean that the problem for 90% is not on the R'O server... if it was a server problem everybody should have e'm.. So shouting that THEY messed up is a bit unfair don't you think so...... Chris

Right... Unfair... Got a point there, Bartworx. That's why I also took into consideration the case of the Pharaoh curse, you see... To avoid being unfair... Having checked --and double checked-- everything on my end, and finding nothing wrong, and keeping in mind that everything works just fine in R'sity, it was unreasonable of me to put this on the account of the brilliant minds responsible for the smooth transaction to the new platform. Not only unreasonable, but also maybe malicious. When you are right, you are right.

I know you said your clock is working. The question is, is it the correct time? Remember we just had a daylight savings time shift. I had this problem and the time on my compter clock was wrong. Hopefully whatever it is a simple fix. With all of the new difficulties in this site I understand why you would think it was the site code. cheerio lululee

I'm in a different time-zone, lululee... :) Funny thing is that I discovered the problem while trying to visit your newly uploaded picture...

It still remains a mystery! IE doesn't show the pictures while Firefox does.... No fiddling ever took place on my side... :) My apologies for being somewhat abrupt earlier on, Chris, but I find this entire situation rather frustrating.

maybe you have to check the way IE reads web pages.. there are more than one way IE reads and updates e'm. Best to set it to automatic everytime you visit a web page. And yes IE and many other windowzzz items have the irritating ability to change without you knowing... I'v been doing this kind of crazy windows recover and repair etc etc for over 15 years now, so i know a little about it... not that you ever wanna know windows, but hey a man has got to make a living :} Chris

You could also try CTRL and F5 in sequence, that gives a "forced" refresh to IE6 browser.

Nope! It doesn't work either. It's strange for I can see all other thumbs, in free stuff etc. It's just the @#$% galleries that refuse to load... !!!!!!

I do have Norton Antivirus installed, Karen, and a Sygate Personal Firewall --As I said before, Firefox has no problem seeing the images, only IE6. And Richard... sorry to say, the method didn't work either. :) --Panos

sorry about that. I normally don't expect to wait for computers to do their thing, except when rendering! In future I will only press the button once. This one. "Try the quick, easy fix first. Clear the IE cache from IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files and Delete offline content." This one I mean... It didn't work... :( It's weirder and weider!... All other thumbs, images, graphics etc are visible --just like before the problem occurred. Also there is no problem with the display of pictures on any other web site. Just R'sity Galleries.... and just with IE6. Firefox works fine. Am I so terribly wrong to suspect the genius of the "programmers"....? (Well, maybe I am... LOL)

I repeat myself when under stress, I repeat myself when under stress, I repeat..... I know someone who cannot download any jpg's anymore. All images are nameless.bmp whatever is tried. So bizarre things are possible. I also know that in firefox you can click on "do not show images from this site". Perhaps it's something like that? Why browse with IE?

I repeat myself when under stress, I repeat myself when under stress, I repeat..... LOL... How very true, Gongyla!... Bizarre things are possible, and so are solutions... :) I repeat myself to make sure I'm understood. Only the Galleries' thumbs and pictures refuse to show I can assure you that IE doesn't contain an option: "Do not show Renderosity's Galleries pictures"... (Unless of course it has been added in a recent update).... Why using IE? Because I always did and habit, as we all know, is a ruthless companion.... --Panos

First, use another browser except IE... unless you really enjoy installing "critical security" patches every week. ;) One issue may be that the cache is full so IE is not loading any more images. So, if you must use IE, try clearing your cache: Go to Tools > Internet Options. In the center of the box, you should see a section for "Temporary Internet Files". Click the buttons for "Delete Files". Wait as IE does it's thing. When done, click the OK button. This solution fixes the known bug in which IE saves every jpg file as "untitled.bmp". Microsoft knows about this, they have created a "knowledge base" reply for it, yet there is no "fix" (probably not even in IE 7)... only this workaround. --John
