From the definition for fractal, I would say this fits! IMO some MACRO/close-ups of the detail would show this even more!

I love the light and shadow play in the first one. Very artistic. Well done on both of these. You could probably do a whole series of crystals that have fractals in them. Experiment and see what happens. :biggrin:

Thank you very much for all your suggestions.I will try to learn more how to "see " better.... I have to admit , it is most difficult for me to photograph clear crystals...(especialy with the inclusions, like my pic #2). I love them with passion, yet it takes a lot of experience and knowledge to make a good picture. The #1 pic ...the name of the crystal is Aragonite (CaCO3 ) it is from Mexico. Some people believe that it providesfor ease of centering oneself and is especialy helpful during periods of stress and anger,or during the preparation for the state of meditation.
