Hi, This is a simple poser 6 to Carrara 5 native poser importer file chart. It tells you were you can find file types in poser 6 Runtime folder to import into Carrara 5 for your Native poser imports.

I had to make a small correction regarding the HANDS file type s and I also included some bump texture maps information in this one.

I don't know if I am just having one of those days but, that General/Morphs dropdown on the right (listing import pose,Conform to, and Import cloth) does not seem to be in Carrara5Pro (windows) or --please advise?

bwtr. Those are found in the properties tray after you have imported a PZ3/PZZ or CR2/CRZ into C5 or C5Pro. Once imported go to the properties tray, make sure you have the Poser figure selected or they won't show. From there you can load the files that I have marked in the chart. NOTE: Hair you need to import via the files import menu not from the properties tray.

Ditto bwtr...I haven't seen these in C5P myself importing via native😊

Ringo thats why I had my say, I can not find it where you say --where I was looking---which renmen seems to confirm. (Have you got Carrara6 and have not told us!!!!)

OK...here it is....it isn't C6. :-) Its in C5 and C5Pro guys. Remember it is by using Poser Native import not Transposer. Also notice I have James Casual selected. It is highlight in yellow. ;-) Take care.

If you look at these two screen shots it may make the "understanding" clearer. Thanks Ringo.

can you pull the handle in the properties tray for the hierchy so while keeping your poser figure selected. Maybe that part of the tray its hidden. I can see in your screen captures that it is way to high so it is hidding that part of the propertiestray.

Well in screen 2 it looks like you found them. See in screen 1 you had select "James" but it wasn't expanded to show the entrie tree. In your second screen it is expanded so there you have selected the correct one.

ren_mem posted Mon, 10 April 2006 at 12:45 AM

Yeah, that one is tricky. Those trees are so long. Had it not been for a previous thread on this I probably wouldn't have found them w/o alot of looking.

No need to think outside the box....
    Just make it invisible.
