Please change the sort order back to what it was.

Renderosity has been the only Poser forum that I read daily. As far as I know, it has been the most read Poser forum for a long time.  I can put up with changes that had to be made to make the forum for efficient.  Now changes are being made to make it look like every other forum that I don't read regularly.

I liked the old sort, with last thread on top,  because it was possible to scan all the topic subject lines so that I could readily open the ones I wanted to see without missing any.  I'd come back the next day and pick up where I last left off.

The problem with putting the last replies on top is that I can no longer tell what subjects I've already looked at and didn't bother opening. It now makes the Rendo forum the same as all the others where threads, that are easy to talk about, stay on top and bury the tougher techincal questions that people look at, but don't always have the expertise to reply to. I can understand the rationale why some people like the most recent post on top, but there are more than enough forums that already do that.

Renderosity's Poser forum has been the most prominent Poser forum on the net. Changing too much of it, when it wasn't completely broken, will only make it a different forum, not a better one. The timber will change from what it has been to one where the sof of the return of the fool is the kind of message that's always on top and has an activity lifetime that's much longer than it deserves. There's something to be said for letting threads die over time by when they were originally posted instead of popping to the top every time somebody replies to it even if the thread is many years old. That's how this forum's been for a while, and it's maintained its role in the Poser universe quite a while with this format. It doesn't need to be changed.
