So I just got Eszter and I'm having trouble making the prop accept V3 mats. The READ ME file is not very detailed. All it says is select the prop, look for a dial that says "OTHER" and dial it from Eszter to V3 until the value is 1. Well I don't see a dial that says "OTHER" but there is one that says "Eszter/V3" so I assume that's it. I set the value to 1 but nothing happens and I can't get a mat to stick. Any suggestions?

You need to apply V3 MATS to Eszter in the material room. If you need help. IM me and I'll walk you through it. You are doing the dial correctly :-)

ah, well I'm using P4 at the moment (will be upgrading to P6 in another 2 to 3 months) so maybe that's the problem. Although the product description doesn't mention anything about it not being P4 compatible (except for specular maps). Maybe I need to contact the vendor. Thanks!

My V3 MATs are all pose files... do they need to be converted into Materials files? I hate the idea of some textures being pose files and other being materials files. I dislike that I can only view the materials folders in the Materials Room. I like the P6 nodes but I would prefer the old P4 Materials window to the Simple View in the Materials Room. The whole room structure bothers me as much as the file type organization of the libraries. Anyway... can you explain about Eszter and needing to work from materials rather than poses.

OK I'm back. So I now have Poser 6.....nice! I apply the textures to Ezster manually in the materials room, no problem. Her face still looks a little plastic and not quite matching the rest of the body so I'm wondering if there are other settings I need to look at. I'm getting closer but not quite there yet.

Her face looks wierd in the preview due to the highlight. Adjust that and you are off and rendering!
GOTO>Material Room, second window "highlights". Click on body, and check what it is set on. Click on face and adjust the dial to same setting.
